This study employed an exploratory, non-experimental, qualitative research design and targeted the population of job readiness training clients in St. Louis, Missouri, with a sample of 16 (out of the 16 participants, five participated in the pilot study). Written consent was obtained from the participants, and a semi-structured interview guide was used to collect qualitative data via face-to-face interviews of the participants.
