This is an exploratory study that employed a survey methodology to collect both qualitative and quantitative data in order to discover the profile of Black male senior executives in the Fortune 500 companies. It required the respondents/participants to record the inhibitors and enablers that played an important role in their climb to the top in corporate America. The population of respondents consisted of 200 Black male executives (the total population) who had reached the level of vice president and above or the equivalence in the Fortune 500 companies. The findings of the survey were utilized to draw conclusions and make recommendations that could have a positive effect on other Black males, other minorities, and women who are attempting to climb the management ladder in corporate America.
