Abstract/Summary:
We present shell model calculations in the sdgh major shell for the antimony isotopes from 103Sb to 110Sb. We provide a systematic nuclear structure analysis for these odd-odd and odd-even proton drip line antimony isotopes. We do the calculations using both the CD-Bonn and Nijmegen1 nucleon-nucleon effective interactions. We use the modified Drexel University Parallel Shell Model code (DUPSM) for the calculations with maximum Hamiltonian dimension up to nearly 2 million. We compare the resulting energy spectra to recent experimental results. We describe a non-linear fit using the downhill simplex method to refine the single particle energies to improve the energy spectra. We address the need for parallel computing by exploring the time requirements of the DUPSM code.
