In this dissertation, the possibility of infinite-time quenching for a class of degenerate singular semilinear parabolic equations is ruled out. The phenomenon beyond quenching is studied for the same class of degenerate semilinear parabolic equations; its unique profile is established. Finally, criteria for the blow-up and the complete blow-up of a class of degenerate semilinear parabolic equations are established.
