Abstract/Summary:
The asymmetric cyanine cations, thiazole orange (TO), oxazole yellow (YO), thiazole orange homodimer (TOTO) and oxazole yellow homodimer (YOYO), as well as the phenanthridine dye ethidium homodimer (EthD), bind to double stranded DNA (dsDNA).
