The "method of moments" and a novel technique, "class method" are used to calculate the leading distribution parameters and the approximate entire MWD respectively.; The dynamic simulator is used to test Nonlinear Model-Based Control (NMBC) strategy for the temperature control of batch polymerization reactor described by the nonlinear and nonstationary process behavior. The simulator is also used for optimization studies which is to find optimum operation recipes which give the specified MWD and minimum reaction time. A direct searching method, the "complex method," is used as an optimizer.; The simulation studies show a very promising results. Both the "method of moments" and "class method" are effective to generate the distribution parameters and entire distribution. A single control strategy, NMBC, effectively controls the reactor temperature from the initial heat-up to the end of reaction. The optimizer searches the optimum of operation recipes with choices of product and operation target. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Batch polymerization, Reactor, Method, MWD, Nonlinear, Distribution | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
