Abstract/Summary:
My intention in this study is to analyze the processes that have led to the inhuman history of national bundan and the too-easy, ideological tongil policies to obtain peaceful tongil of Korea. It maintains that bundan theology originated from American missionary theology through missionary faith in the beginning of Korean mission. This study is examining missionaries' documents and primary sources, mission policies that treat the bundan theology prevailing since national bundan in 1945. The intention which underlies this study is to analyze the influence of Bundan theology on South Korean churches and its own theology, build Tongil theology and ethics for national liberation and world peace.; Chapter I provides “The Political Reasons of National Bundan and Tongil” to understand Korean bundan history such as political reasons of bundan, political theories of national tongil and then peaceful tongil model of Kim Dae Jung's Government.; Chapter II deals the “The Formation of Bundan Theology.” In this chapter, bundan theology in the missionary's theology, their policy and the sermons was planted from Western missionary, especially American protestant missionaries who entered Korea from 1884. I investigated Jesus Christ of the liberation of the minjok and the minjung, dwarf Jesus Christ bearing the cross of bundan, and the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of the minjok as national Tongil.
