Abstract/Summary:
This study collected and compared data regarding the pastor as educator. Free Will Baptist pastors and professors at Free Will Baptist colleges participated in this study. The data were analyzed to determine if pastors and professors view pastors as educators when they preach, teach, counsel, lead, and administrate.;Data were gathered through a survey mailed to pastors pastoring Free Will Baptist churches and professors employed by Free Will Baptist colleges. Data were used to compare the responses of pastors and professors to the question, "Do Free Will Baptist pastors function as educators when they fulfill the various facets of the pastoral office: preaching, teaching, counseling, leadership, and administration?".;This study provides data documenting how Free Will Baptist pastors and professors employed by Free Will Baptist colleges view Christian education, the nature of the pastoral office, the pastor's role in the Christian education program of the local church, their pastoral training programs, and the pastor's role as educator.
