This study examined the role of Internet commerce in the increase of sales by Canadian, premium chocolate manufacturers, to U.S. consumers. Tenets of international food marketing and electronic commerce trends within the Canadian, premium confection industry were assessed using a blended methodological approach. Survey questionnaire and case study data were analyzed. Results revealed a correlation between increased sales and a web-commerce offering, but of insignificant industrial revenue impact or predictive, causal relationship.
