Abstract/Summary:
Scope of study. An existing experimental apparatus was modified for the determination of solubilities of methane in paraffinic, naphthenic, and aromatic solvents at temperatures from 311 to 433 K and pressures to 113 bar. Methane binaries studied involved: n-C;Findings and conclusions. Precise solubility data have been obtained for the selected binary mixtures of methane. Solubility measurements are believed to have an imprecision of no more than 0.002 in liquid mole fraction (1.0 bar in pressure). Interaction parameters for the SRK and PR EOS were obtained for the systems studied.
