Abstract/Summary:
Two Experiments were carried out to determine the effect of cyclic moisture stress on the gas exchange processes, growth and development of the "Lost pines" (xeric) and East Texas (mesic) seed sources. Loblolly pine seeds from both East Texas and Lost Pines seed sources were stratified, and planted in preassembled pots according to a predetermined schedule and method. The experimental plants were grown for two months under favorable environmental conditions in a growth chamber.
