Pedophilia and Hebephilia: An Analysis of Deviant Sexual Interest Using the Abel Assessment for Sexual Interest-2

With the release of the DSM-V on the horizon, controversy has surrounded the inclusion of Hebephilia as a disorder. The purpose of this study focuses on the difference between Pedophilia and Hebephilia examining co-occurring paraphilias including Exhibitionism, Voyeurism, and Frotteurism. This study hypothesizes that Pedophiles will have more co-occurring paraphilias than Hebephiles. A One-way Manova was performed to analyze the data. The results are discussed.
