Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of the study was to compare the perceptions of students and faculty at the Rajamonkol Institute of Technology in Bangkok concerning selected curricular elements of the health education program.;The questionnaires concerning general perceptions about health education instruction were sent to a sample of one hundred and fifty students and thirty faculty of the Rajamonkol Institute of Technology. These students were randomized statistically by using a stratified random sampling technique. The data were analyzed and means and standard deviations were generated. A t-test was used to test for statistically significant differences. Analysis of the results indicated that, in most instances, there were no significant differences in student and faculty perceptions of selected elements of the Health Education curriculum. Differences which did occur on individual items appeared to the research to be due to a lack of communication between faculty and students.
