Abstract/Summary:
The photoproduction of heavy quark and heavy quarkonium are important process in high energy nuclear physics, which provide aneffective way to study the parton dis-tribution function in proton.Although a lot of studies have been performed from ultra-peripheral collisions to central collisions, their results are still difficult to confine the parton distribution function. It was found that the data of the photoproduction of heavy quark and heavy quarkonium from HERA can effectively amend the lackage. Both ultral-peripheral collisions and electron-proton collisions provide ideal ground for the study of photoproduction of heavy quark and heavy quarkonium.More studies about photopro-duction of heavy quark and heavy quarkonium from central collisions to ultra-peripheral have been performed. The photoproduction of heavy quark in ep collision in the kine-matic regions of HERA provides valuable constraints on parton distribution functions and some important QCD parameters. Therefore, the detailed studies of subprocess about photoproduction seems important and urgent. In this work,we mainly focus on the mechanism of the photons are radiated by partons of the incident nucleus in UPCs in this work.Using a photon spectrum of high energy charged partons, the differential cross sections of J/ψ production of tree level via a two photon interaction mechanism in ultra-peripheral proton-proton collisions at(?)=7TeV are calculated.Besides, both differential and total cross sections of J/ψ andγ(1S)inclusive photoproduction of tree level in ultra-peripheral proton-Lead collisions at(?)=5.5TeV are also calculated.Three sub-processes are considered, including a direct photon process,a single resolved photon process and a double resolved photon process. For each sub-processes,both fragment and non-fragment contributions are considered.By comparing with the results of the exclusive production processes, the results for the J/ψ production from the two-photon processes of the charged partons are meaningful in the ultra-peripheral proton-proton collisions. The total cross section for J/ψand T(1S)in proton-Lead collisions seem non-negligible compared to other coherent inelastic pro-duction results at the same center-of-mass energy. Therefore, this mechanism for photon emission is important which can not be neglected. The charm and beauty production data were well described by the fixed flavour num-ber scheme calculations at next-to-leading order over the whole phase space at HERA.For larger transverse momenta the predictions of the zero mass variable flavour number scheme are expected to be more reliable.LHeC collider would extend the study to a larger phase space and greater precision of the measurement, and map the expected transition from the massive region to the massless regime precisely. In this work, the differen-tial cross section for inclusive photoproduction of bottom and charm quark at one-loop order in fixed flavour number scheme(FFNS)are calculated in the kinematic range of future electron-ion collider,.In this calculation, the resolved cross section is around 1%of the direct cross sections. Therefore only direct and single resolved cross sections are considered. The results show that compared to D*results calculated in general-mass variable-flavour number scheme, the numerical results of ours are smaller than the results of general-mass variable-flavour number scheme calculations in small transverse momen-tum region and larger than the results of general-mass variable-flavour number scheme(GMVFNS)calculations in large transverse momentum region. The differences between our results and general-mass variable-flavour number scheme increase with increasing PT.
