In the current theory, gas plays a critical role on galaxy formation and evolution, gas plays a critical role.Cold gas collapses into stars and forms galaxies, and hot gas and the ionization photons are ejected out in the process of star formation. The stellar feedback,as well as feedback from the supermassive black hole(SMBH)at the galactic center, can even eject gas out of the host galaxy. In this thesis,we use cosmic gas as a probe of large-scale structure and galaxy formation and evolution.Firstly,we study the correlation between the corona around the disk galaxies and the properties of galaxies. With a sample consists of 53 highly inclined galaxies,we obtain the properties of the galaxies, such as star formation rate(SFR)and the stellar mass from the data of Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer(WISE).Then we character coronal morphology as the two types of the coronal scale, the extent coronal scale H5 and the spatial distribution scales Hx50 and Hx75.The two scales present different trends with the galaxy properties, which implies that the origin of the coronal X-ray emission may be attributed by two components.Secondly,we find an O ?/O ? absorption system in the boundary of Fermi bubble along the sightline toward quasar 3C273 and constrain the bubble expanding velocity as 100-150 km s-1.Then,we try to confirm the warm-hot intervening gas observed in X-ray spectra of blazar H2356-309.We detected narrow H ? and Si ? absorption lines at z?0.03 and H 1,Si i,and N V at z ? 0.062 in the COS spectrum on the sight line toward blazar H2356-309.The expected board Lya absorbers have not been detected.Alternatively, the observed H I line can be fitted with a narrow and a broad component expected from the X-ray observations. The follow-up observations will constrain the absorbers. Finally,I discuss two future works:in the first work,we focus on the misidentified absorption lines in the COS AGN spectra and how these misidentified lines affect the estimation of the baryons fractions at low redshift. In the other work,we try to find the parameters charactered the radio halo of galaxies and their links to the properties of galaxies and X-ray morphology.
