| The present paper concentrates on the taxonomic study of the spider family Salticidae from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau based on the morphological characters and some DNA barcoding evidences.Part Ⅰ introduces the research history,current taxonomic situation of the family,the morphological characters of identification,taxonomy status,systematic,methods and materials,and the situation of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.Part Ⅱ records 157 jumping-spider species under 62 genera from Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.Two new genera are established: Chinacytaea gen.nov.and Dianus gen.nov.Four genera(Emertonius Peckham &Peckham,1892;Heliophanoides Prószyński,1992;Marengo Peckham &Peckham,1892 and Okinawicius Prószyński,2016)and three species(Brettus anchorum Wanless,1979;Carrhotus tristis Thorell,1895 and Okinawicius tokarensis(Bohdanowicz & Prószyński,1987))are described for the first time from China.32 new species are named as:Chinacytaea hamata sp.nov.,Chinophrys bidentatus sp.nov.,C.zhangae sp.nov.,Dianus virgulatus sp.nov.,Emertonius triangulus sp.nov.,Euophrys angustus sp.nov.,Euochin donglinsiensis sp.nov.,Heliophanoides gonglangensis sp.nov.,H.longapophysis sp.nov.,Laufeia furcata sp.nov.,L.robusta sp.nov.,Marengo corrugum sp.nov.,Myrmarachne brevisoides sp.nov.,M.xingrenensis sp.nov.,Nandicius conicus sp.nov.,N.triapophyses sp.nov.,Phintella brevispina sp.nov.,P.fodingensis sp.nov.,P.subpanda sp.nov.,Plexippoides sublongus sp.nov.,Rhene elongata sp.nov.,Stertinius inflatus sp.nov.,S.longus sp.nov.,S.subniger sp.nov.,Synagelides subagoriformis sp.nov.,S.qian sp.nov.,S.angustus sp.nov.,S.latus sp.nov.,S.triangulus sp.nov.,Thyene xieae sp.nov.Yaginumaella rostrata sp.nov.and Y.subhubeiensis sp.nov..The males of the following six species are described for the first time: Chinacytaea wangi(Peng & Li,2006)comb.nov.,Lechia squamata (?)abka,1985,Phintella panda Huang,Wang &Peng,2015,P.pygmaea(Wesolowska,1981),P.wulingensis Huang,Wang & Peng,2015 and Rhene yunnanensis(Peng & Xie,1995)comb.nov..The females of the following four species are also described for the first time: Featheroides typica Peng,Yin,Xie & Kim,1994,Phintella fanjingshan Li,Wang,Zhang & Chen,2019,P.suavis(Simon,1885)and Thyene yuxiensis(Xie & Peng,1995)comb.nov.Moreover,based on examining specimens and comparing the diagnostic drawings of jumping spiders,six new combinations are proposed: Chinacytaea wangi(Peng &Li,2006)comb.nov.,Chrysilla bulba(Peng,Tso & Li,2002)comb.nov.,Icius indicus(Simon,1901)comb.nov.,Lechia versicolor(C.L.Koch,1846)comb.nov.,Rhene yunnanensis(Peng & Xie,1995)comb.nov.and Thyenne zhangi(Peng,Yin,Yan et Kim,1998)comb.nov.,and the following synonyms are suggested: Lechia (?)abka,1985 =Phintelloides Kanesharatnam & Benjamin,2019 syn.nov.;Chrysilla bulba(Peng,Tso & Li,2002)comb.nov.= Chrysilla acerosa Wang &Zhang,2012 syn.nov.;Epeus glorius (?)abka,1985 = Cytaea levii Peng &Li,2002 syn.nov.;Lechia squamata (?)abka,1985 = Phintelloides manipur Caleb,2020 syn.nov.;Phintella arcuata Huang,Wang & Peng,2015 = Phintella levii Huang,Wang & Peng,2015 syn.nov.;Rhene flavicomans Simon,1902 = Rhene biembolusa Song & Chai,1991 syn.nov.Part Ⅲ is the results of DNA barcording and the taxonomy of jumping spiders,as well as the analysis of the taxonomic issues.Finally,part Ⅳ provides the 149 diagnostic photos of 101 species,including the species new to science,the species new to China,the males or females described for the first time and some easily-confused species. |
