According to the characteristics of constructed wetland, the removal rules on main pollutant in secondary effluent of wastewater treatment plant were studied under the different hydraulic loading. The removal effects on pollutant in different substrate depth and discharge area were analyzed. The removal effects on pollutant preceding and after bottom aeration were compared and the solutions to not good operation effects in winter were discussed, too. Clogging status and mechanism were preliminary studied. The electrochemical method was applied to advanced treatment of constructed wetland effluent, and the hybrid process which made final effluent beat the target to environmental quality standards for surface water was discussed, too. Otherwise, constructed wetland characteristics of plants, microorganism and substrate were studied, the biological toxicity of influent and effluent was studied simultaneously. Mathematical models of each pollutant removal effects were established. On the basis of previous studies, a constructed wetland demonstration project was built at Nankou wastewater treatment plant, which could provide important data reference for further engineering application.
