Mutlphase motor has some advantages,such as high power with low voltage,high reliability and smaller torque ripple,which makes it has wider use especially under condition where lower voltage and high reliability.The application of multiphase motor is more outstanding such as shipin electric propulsion,urban rail transit,aerospace and weapons etc.Based on 15 k W threephase asynchronous motor,a five-phase induction motor with two winding configuation is proposed.The design method,the characteristics of five-phase motor with different winding configuration,the distribution of harmonic Magneto-Motive Force(MMF),mathematical model,realization method of SVPWM algorithm combining dynamic modulation with random zero vector,The control system of the five-phase voltage source inverter and the characteristics of the phase-out fault are researched and analyzed by simulation test.Based on the analyze for the structure characteristics of the existing fivephase motor winding configuration,and the design and manufacture experience of the existing three-phase motor and the induction motor design manual,and the structure of classic 15 k W three-phase asynchronous motor,two types of fivephase motor with star winding connection and novel composite winding connection are put forward,which keep the rated power,the size of the three circles,the length of the air gap,the length of the iron core,the ventilation structure and the central height constant and some parameters are redesigned such as the slot fit,the slot shape of the stator and rotor,winding and the wire gauge.The finite element simulation analysis model of two kinds of winding five-phase induction motor is established,and its magnetic field characteristics,start-up characteristics and phase-out operation characteristics are studied.The results show that the designed compound winding five-phase induction motor has good application value in engineering.Based on the theory of winding function and the method of Fourier series expansion,the harmonic MMF of the novel composite winding five-phase motor is analyzed,and the lowest frequency of harmonic MMF produced by the fundamental current is 19th-order,which is obviously higher than the lowest frequency of harmonic MMF of star winding connection five-phase motor with9th-order.The comparative analysis of harmonic MMF between five-phase motor with two winding configuration and three-phase motor with the same capacity is completed.The mathematical model of five-phase motor in natural coordinates is established,and the space decoupling model of five-phase motor is given by using the theory of space decoupling transformation,which provides the basis for the following research of five-phase motor control.The application of SVPWM algorithm for Voltage Source Inverter(VSI)in five-phase motor is studied.Through the analysis of the application of adjacent two-vector SVPWM algorithm in five-phase motor,we can see that although it can obtain high DC bus voltage utilization ratio,it contains high component loworder harmonic,which affects the long-term stable operation of the motor.The adjacent four-vector SVPWM algorithm can suppress the low-order harmonic better,but the DC bus voltage utilization ratio is lower,which leads the efficiency drops obviously.This paper proposed the dynamic modulation and the random zero-vector SVPWM algorithm,the DC bus voltage utilization ratio can be improved adopting dynamic modulation,and the operating time of zero vector is adjusted by random zero vector,and the distribution range of harmonic is discretized,which can reduce the harmonic component.In order to test the designed five-phase induction motor with two winding structures,a five-phase inverter drive system based on STM32 controller is developed from the point of view of universal application,and the related hardware and control software are designed.Finally,based on the constructed five-phase inverter,some basic tests and algorithm verification are carried out on the designed five-phase induction motor with two windings.The test results show that the feasibility of the structure design of the five-phase induction motor with two windings,and the feasibility of the algorithm proposed in this paper is verified.
