The natural environment is closely related to human health.Scholars have used quantitative and qualitative research methods and verified some of the impact of natural landscapes on people's physical and mental benefits. However, there hasnot been any comprehensive and core theory and criteria on therapeutic landscape design. This paper summarizes the longitudinal historical development of therapeutic landscape and the horizontal comparison of related theoretical literature, combined with case analysis, field investigation and project practice, the design of therapeutic landscape is systematically studied and summarized. The "three-dimensional" design theory of modern therapeutic landscape is put forward, which is people-oriented and taking physiological, psychological and spiritual healing as the core of therapeutic landscape design.By summarizing the principles, strategies and evaluation methods of "three-dimensional" design of modern rehabilitation landscape, this paper establishes the evaluation system of three-dimensional "design of modern therapeutic landscape, selects the indicators based on the grey statistical method(GST),and then conducts case study and evaluation of two therapeutic landscapes in Nanjing through Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).Then the author further combines the"three-dimensional" design theory and practical cases to analyze and summarize the environmental needs and corresponding design strategies of three special user groups at the physiological, psychological and spiritual levels. Moreover, based on the theory of"three-dimensional" design and guided by the strategy of "three-dimensional" design for special population, the design practice is carried out in combination with the actual project. This paper is to integrate and innovate based on the existing therapeutic landscape theory, and further to apply innovative theory into design practice. It is hoped that the core ideas and achievements of this study can provide guidance and reference for the design of modern therapeutic landscape in the early stage of development. This paper is mainly divided into the following eight chapters:The first chapter is the introduction. This paper introduces the research background and significance of therapeutic landscape, analyses the research status of therapeutic landscape at home and abroad, points out the problems and shortcomings of research results at this stage, defines the relevant concepts of this study, and summarizes the research ideas and methods of this topic. The second chapter is the concept analysis of therapeutic landscape and its history, evolution and current situation. This paper summarizes the landscape characteristics related to medical treatment and healing in different historical periods and their effects on people's healing. The third chapter is about the ideological basis, design entry point and design criteria of the "three-dimensional" design of therapeutic landscape. This chapter focuses on summarizing the people-oriented design ideas of therapeutic landscape.Starting from the three aspects of human physiology, psychology and spirit, this paper summarizes the core idea of this study, that is,the "three-dimensional" design of modern therapeutic landscape.Guided by the core concept of "three-dimensional" design, the author further summarizes the three design principles and design methods of modern therapeutic landscape by analyzing the design entry point, combining with the relevant theory of modern therapeutic landscape and classical case analysis. The fourth chapter is about the design principles, strategies and methods of modern therapeutic landscape. This chapter summarizes and analyses the "three-dimensional" design principles, strategies and design methods of modern therapeutic landscape through a preliminary analysis of the user's physiological, psychological and spiritual needs of the environment, combined with practical cases. The fifth chapter is the construction and case study of "three-dimensional" design index system of modern therapeutic landscape.Based on the analysis and summary of literature and cases in the third and fourth chapters of this paper, combined with the consultation opinions of experts in related fields, the "three-dimensional" design primary selection index set of modern therapeutic landscape is formed based on physiological core, psychological core and spiritual core as the criterion layer(including 34 indicators).Through the grey statistical method(GST method)to screen the primary index set,the "three-dimensional" design index system of modern therapeutic landscape is finally obtained.Taking the city of Nanjing as an example,a representative new hospital(Gulou Hospital)and a sanatorium(Zhongshan cadre sanatorium)were investigated on the spot. The development status of urban therapeutic landscape and residents' cognition and expectation of therapeutic landscape in Nanjing were preliminarily clarified. At the same time, combined with the questionnaire answers, the importance of indicators was qualitatively compared by AHP.Tthe comparison results were transformed into quantitative weight assignment results, and the evaluation results of two therapeutic landscapes in Nanjing based on the "three-dimensional" design index system were obtained. The sixth chapter is based on the "three-dimensional" design theory of modern therapeutic landscape, aiming at the design strategy and application of different groups.Through the analysis of physiological, psychological and spiritual characteristics of different user gropus and their needs for the environment, this paper summarizes the strategies of therapeutic landscape design for the people, and discusses the application of these strategies in the actual project combined with case analysis. The seventh chapter introduces a design practice guided by the "three-dimensional" design theory of modern therapeutic landscape. This project is located in British Columbia women's and children's Hospital,Canada. The whole project from the initial field investigation to the report is completed and passed according to the "three-dimensional" design idea of therapeutic landscape summarized by the author, from the overall planning of hospital site to the detailed design of therapeutic garden in intensive care unit. The design results have been unanimously recognized and praised by the head of the hospital, medical staff and patients' families. The eighth chapter is the follow-up research and prospect. This paper plays a connecting role in the research of therapeutic landscape. On the one hand,on the basis of summarizing the past research,it puts forward a more comprehensive "three-dimensional" design theory and relevant criteria of modern therapeutic landscape, and establishes the "three-dimensional" design index system of modern therapeutic landscape;on the other hand,it plays a foundation and direction guidance for the follow-up research and development of therapeutic landscape effect.Word counts: more than 130,000 wordsDiagrams: Approximately 200 diagrams...
