Microorganisms produce a variety of secondary metabolites. Certain components with biological activity which are seperated from secondary metabolites are microbial sources of new drugs. In this study, three components with new biological activity or new structure were seperated, purified and identifided. Two components (Y and Z) were seperated from secondary metabolites of Streptomyces roseosporus FIM99608. The solubility of components Y and Z is different, comparing with daptomycin. The structures of the two components were elucidated by UV, IR, HPLC, NMR spectroscopic data and ESI-mass-spectrometric. The structures of component Y and Z are cyclo-lipopeptide. The two components have no activity against mycobacteria, fungal and tumor cells. One component X was seperated from secondary metabolites of streptomyces FIM040512. The structure of component X was isoflavonoid elucidated by UV, IR, HPLC, NMR spectroscopic data and ESI-mass-spectrometric. Component X has good activity against Bacillus subtilis, Cervical cancer cells (HeLa), Lung cancer cells (SGC7901) and Esophageal carcinoma cells (KYSE510 and TE3).Six antimycin A components were successfully purified for the first time by HSCCC with a two-phase solvent system composed of n-hexane–ethyl acetate–methanol–water (5:2:4:1, v/v/v/v). This thesis reported the successful preparative separation and purification of six Antimycin components (antimycin A4(a or b), antimycin A3(a or b), antimycin A8(a or b), antimycin A2(a or b), antimycin A1(a or b) and antimycin A1(a or b) from antimycin crude product by HSCCC for the first time as far as we known. The structure and biological activity of components produced by single strain may be different. Our research indicates that it is viable to find new components from secondary metabolites of the strains which can produce some foregone antibiotics or other components with biological activity.
