Based on the comparative methods, the thoughts about interactions in Neo-Confucianism compares Neo-Confucianism's thoughts of interactions with Chinese ancient's interactions thoughts on the one hand,as well as the thoughts of causation in modern western philosophy and science on the other hand, and then locates the place of the thoughts about interactions in Neo-Confucianism.Based on this, this paper classifies the interactions thoughts in its own logic. We not only analyze commonness, but also personalities of those interactions thoughts,so we can learn about the progress of those thoughts. Finally,We'll find general characteristics of interactions thoughts.Chapter 1,thoughts about interactions in ancient Confucianism, discusses general situation in those periods. In Zhou dynasty, sympathetic magic thought had been moralized, and then Confucian had taken benevolence as the basic moral order.Mencius centered on feeling of sympathy, which is one sort of interactions between heart and heart.Yi-Zhuan has built a preliminary model of interactions.Dong Zhongshu, who had adopted the thoughts of Qi,built an interaction system between heaven and mankind.Chapter 2,discusses the interactions of Qi in its' original position.Interactions always confers with Qi,in traditional way, people thought Qi follow the principle of homogeneous phase. But Zhang Zai took two sides'interactions as the principle. The whole of the Qi can't help dividing into sorts of opposite sides, which make the interactions of Qi mystery and marvelous.Chapter 3,discusses the interactions of substances. All of the things are created from Qi and have their own natures:they sustain and move by their own natures. As long as they were all created from Yin and Yang, their natures are also decided by Yin and Yang.Chapter 4,discusses rules of interactions.Neo-Confucianism took unity of opposites as inner structure of all the things, and they named the interactions between unities of opposites as "inner interactions",which is different from homogeneous interaction between objects. They considered inner interactions sustain in an endless succession, undecided model, and have the feature of Vitalism.Chapter 5,discusses interactions between hearts and Qi.Neo-Confucianism take heart as anima of Qi,so it can arises concrete interactions with Qi.Those kinds of interactions mainly contain the interactions between Will and Qi,the interactions in divination and sacrifice.Chapter 6,discusses interactions between hearts and objects. In those kinds of interactions, the functions of hearts become to sense and feel. Both of them have interactions between objects, which are not perception.Chapter 7,discusses interactions between hearts and ideas. In those kinds of interactions, the function of heart becomes to consciousness. The consciousness of ideas, nature and the heaven nature are different from perception between subject and object, which command virtual silence of consciousness to achieve free interaction between heaven nature.Chapter 8,discusses interactions between hearts and hearts. There are two kinds of those interactions:spontaneous interactions between hearts and hearts, which are mainly manifested in feeling of sympathy;autonomous interactions between hearts and hearts, which are manifested in moral self-discipline actions.Moral self-discipline of Neo-Confucianism is aimed at free interaction between hearts and hearts, and finally achieve benevolence take all things as one.Chapter 9,discusses interactions of conscience in Wang Yangming and his students thoughts.Interactions of conscience creative a meaning world, the way that conscience creative a meaning world is different from Kant's epistemology and Heidegger's existentialism,Wang Yangming's conscience don't take categories to rule the world,or listen passively to the call of Bing.Wang's conscience has two opposites of unity as coacervation and emanation, emanation is based on coacervation, which demand the silence of conscience;coacervation is for emanation,to make each one in his proper place.Chapter 10,discusses general characteristics and developments of interaction thoughts in Neo-Confucianism,and its status in Confucianism.
