The Historical Materialist Interpretation Of The "Body Movement"

"Body movement" has a very long history of development in human history,and is one of the most influential activities in the world today.As far as "body movement" is concerned,it is composed of the two words "body" and "movement",and the connotation is formed by the connection of these two words.The body mainly refers to the perceptual existence of human beings,while sports refers to the conscious activities of human beings for the purpose of strengthening the body.Therefore,we can define "body movement" as a kind of human activity that exercises the body through various sports,thereby shaping a healthy body and a sound soul.However,as far as the understanding of body movement is concerned,there are still many disputes and even misunderstandings,which need to be further clarified.The main reason lies in the lack of a reasonable interpretation paradigm,which is especially profoundly influenced by the Western rationalist tradition.Movement cannot be accurately grasped.In the history of the development of Western thought,a negative and derogatory attitude towards the "body" is mainly held,that the body embodies the animal nature of human beings,and the human "body" is regarded as an area that is not worth studying and even needs to be overcome as much as possible.As a theoretical system with revolutionary significance in the history of Western thought,the historical materialism created by Marx-"the science of human beings in reality and their historical development",provides us with an analytical perspective.This research is based on this perspective,from four basic dimensions,starting from the "realistic person",relying on the "historical form of man",and focusing on the analysis of the "historical individual of the world",and guided by "the all-round development of human beings",using the method of unifying history and logic,this research concentrates on exploring and revealing issues related to the activity type of human "body movement".First of all,the fundamental connotation of the philosophical revolution realized by Marx lies in that it transcends the rationalist trend of German classical philosophy confined to the epistemological field of view,unearths the perceptual and object characteristics of human existence,and thus grasps the integrity and richness of human beings.And reality,that is,to unearth the "real people" as the starting point of the theory.Taking the "realistic person" as the opening part of the analysis,it is explored from the existential sense that the basis of "body movement" lies in the individual as a perceptual existence.Based on the perspective of historical materialism,human existence is embodied as a complete living individual based on perceptual object activity,highlighting the fundamental role of the physical body for human existence."Body movement" is an important activity content of human beings.It is based on the special way of existence of human beings and on the special relationship between human and the world.It is an important manifestation of human’s "essential characteristics".It is related to and different from productive labor.The connection is that both are human perceptual object activities,both are the concentrated expression of human perceptual existence,and both constitute the realistic basis of human existence.Secondly,based on the historical analysis dimension from the perspective of historical materialism,and based on Marx’s three-form theory of human development from the perspective of social existence determining social consciousness,it explores the realistic basis of the unique human activity of body movement.We can see that in the ancient slavery society,as a kind of human activity "body movement" that tempered the body through various sports,thereby shaping a healthy body and a sound soul,it was mainly the privilege of the slave owners.The reason why slave owners have this privilege is precisely because there are a large number of slaves attached to them who are engaged in animal labor,which creates social conditions for them.In the modern capitalist society,the real basis of "body movement" lies in the division of labor and industrialized production.A distinctive feature of this process is that labor is still an alien force imposed on people,and correspondingly,in a certain sense,“body movement” plays an effective “way” to compensate for this alienated state of human beings,and becomes a way for people to confirm their own strength outside of work.However,most of the human time is still constrained by work.In communist society,with the collapse of the capitalist mode of production and the active sublation of private property,people have realized the transcendence of alienated labor on the basis of enormous abundance of material wealth,instead of being limited to the social division of labor.Of one-sided labor.People can freely choose the activities they are good at and want to do,so as to realize the overall development of free personality.In this state,productive labor and physical movement will become the way to realize the perceptual power of people,and become the essential power of confirming people.Thirdly,focusing on the analysis of the "world historic individual",we can see that although body movement is one of the main forms of human perceptual activity,in capitalist society,body movement is as alienated as productive labor.Marx keenly pointed out that in the capitalist production relations,the vast numbers of workers or the proletariat are alienated from labor,labor products,quasi-essence,and themselves.In this case,labor,which was originally a confirmation of man’s own essential power,has become as for the enslavement of people.Workers can only seek to realize their own free activities outside of labor,and physical exercise is the most prominent one among them.The rise of contemporary body philosophy also reveals to a large extent how people are governed by external factors represented by capital logic because of the existence of the body.The liberation and passion for the physical body shown by the physical movement caters to this need of people,so that even if people can’t participate in person,but just experience the release of physical sensibility through watching and empathizing,they can also be in a certain way.Satisfied in this sense.However,because productive labor exists in a state of alienation,the meaning of body movement as one of the main forms of human perceptual activity cannot be displayed in the true sense,and it is also in a state of alienation.Finally,it further explains body movement as a necessary dimension for human freedom and comprehensive development.It mainly clarifies that in the communist society as a "community of free people",body movement must become a necessary dimension for people to confirm their own essential power.Marx clearly pointed out in "Das Kapital","For all children who have reached a certain age,future education is the combination of productive labor with intellectual education and physical education.It is not only a way to increase social production,but also the only way to create all-round development for people of the world.” The “sports” mentioned by Marx here is also an educational activity based on “physical exercise”,which shows the importance of physical exercise.As we enter the communist society,the distinction between productive labor and physical movement will become blurred.Labor has become human’s "first need",and as a necessary dimension for human freedom and comprehensive development,in communist society,physical movement will inevitably become an important aspect for people to confirm their own essential power.
