Research On Marx's Artistic Communication Thought

Karl Marx did not leave a complete system of aesthetics or literary theory during his lifetime.His aesthetic views and literary opinions are mostly scattered across his published works,reading notes,monographs,and letters.Marx developed precious and rigorous thoughts,promoting spiritual and progressive ideas for mankind.From these perspectives,Marx's theories can be grounded into art communication.Among Marx's numerous works,there has been a great deal of discourses on art communication.However,these discourses have not been presented in a systemic manner.Moreover,because there was no so-called modern concept of “communication” in Marx's era,most Marxian concepts of art communication can be found mostly in his writings on art,communications,media,and social research.Long before the formation of modern communication studies,Marx studied the essence of human spiritual communication from a macro perspective,entailing philosophical and political-economic terms and metaphoric concepts.Therefore,it is crucial to use Marxist concepts to develop the field of art communication.Marx examined social problems,mused on the relationship between materialism and spiritualism,and contemplate the needs for systemizing the society through philosophy and practice.He believed that the development of art has been unbalanced spiritually and materially.With the development of science and technology,a variety of media emerged,which prompted the development of new art forms along with changes in media.Extrapolating from the media already known to mankind,he made bold predictions about the media that mankind might create in the future,and a worldwide spiritual communication was the starting point for him to construct an image of the future of human art communication,which cannot be ignored.Marx put forward a complete theory of art communication that promoted the development of art and communication.In terms of ideas about art dissemination,Marx built on his historical materialism,and discussed the origins of art dissemination as a characteristic process of human labor,human consciousness and language formation.We can refine his thinking about art communication and then concretely elucidate its key parts.We can determine the value of Marx's art communication theories to contemporary communication and to enriching our understanding of Marx's theoretical legacy.Marx examined the history of the development of human art development and revealed the laws of art dissemination,making a significant contribution to theories of art dissemination.
