The Accelerator Leads The Collapse Of The Soviet Union

August Coup is a very important event in the prosess of the collaspe of the USSR.The sponsor of this event tried to stop the transformation of the state system,but it stopped and broke the Novo-Ogravevo process which rebulit the Union,and made the collapse of Union rapidly.This dissertation is mainly based on the archival documents,it recovers the detailed process of the August coup.It tries to analyse the relationship between the August Coup and the collapse of Union,and also the stuggle between different political powers with the historical perspective.Besides exordium and epilogue,there are four chapters in this dissertation.The first chapter introduceded the historical background of the August coup.The state construction of the USSR is a unique system of Union,the strength of the Union highly depanded on the centralization of authority.In the soviet period the problemes of nationality exited from begin to the end,as Gorbachev touched ground of the centralization of authority these problemes of nationality became obvioused.The soviet political changes made conditons of the national separationism.For keeping the union construction,Gorbachev started the Novo-Ogravevo process,he tried replaced former union construction with the Union of Soveregin States.The second chapter mainly talked about the process of the August coup.As the treaty of New Union would soon be signed,when Gorbachev left Moscow,the leaders of the communist party of USSR who took conservative position organized State Committee for the State of Emergency,announced power of acting as president,carried out policies of the State of Emergency to stop the changes of the state system.The opposite of the State Committee for the State of Emergency was the regime of RSFSR at the head of Yeltsin,they called the people to revolt the ?coup? of the State Committee for the State of Emergency.From 19 th to 21 st of August,The mansion of supreme soviet of RSFSR became the centre of struggle.In this event,the supreme soviet of USSR,the communist party of USSR,different political parties of Russia also took place in this stuggle,they kept neutral,took definiert position,all they have done made effections on the political struggles.The third chapter mainly talked about the ractions in the domestic and abroad.Most of the union republics showed their positions when the result of sruggle became obvious.Main powerful countries and international orgnazations also reacted in this event.The western countries at the head of America supported RSFSR and Yeltsin,blamed and were opposed to the coup.Eatern european countries were mostly concerned about the effection of the event on themselves.The forth chapter mainly talked about the process of collaspe of the USSR after the august coup.After this event the political conditions of USSR rapidly changed.The conservative power in the Union was hard pressed,the communist party of USSR collasped,the force departments were reconstructed.Gorbachev lost actual power.In the process of rebuilding union,the union republics with the head of Russia became the major characters.The union centre was abandoned by the union republics.On 8th December of 1991,Russia,Belarus and Ukraine signed ?Belavezha Accords?,it in fact declared the end of the Union.On 25 December 1991 Gorbachev announced the breakup of the USSR in the way of resignation.In the post-soviet time,the judgement of the august coup changed with the transformation of Russain society.It needs time to form the historical cognition.
