The accomplishment of competitive advantages allied to the management and flourishing organizational systems fusing technologies and business strategies.Our study investigated the association of strategic leadership behaviors,specifically transformational and transactional leadership behaviors with strategic IT-business alignment and leading towards competitive advantages under the lens of contingency theory.Specifically,the study investigated the moderating role of organization culture type on the relationship between strategic leadership and strategic IT-business alignment in manufacturing sector of KP Pakistan and Yunnan, China.Moreover,the mediating role of mutual trust is also investigated in between the relationship of inspirational motivation leadership and teamwork.The study followed by final survey of manufacturing sector of the two countries at provincial level to test hypothesized model based on executives' response.Adapted questionnaire is used in this study to collect the data and test the study hypotheses by using statistical methods.Analysis of moment of structure(AMOS)software was the basic software to test the hypotheses using structures equation modeling(SEM)to verify the validity and reliability the study scale and also test the study model.Firstly,the study findings reported significant correlation of strategic leadership behavior with strategic IT-Business alignment in provincial manufacturing sector of China and Pakistan.Secondly,the study findings explained significant correlation of strategic leadership behavior with organization culture type in both countries.Thirdly,the study findings revealed significant correlation between organization culture type with ITBusiness strategic alignment in both countries.Fourthly,the study findings revealed significant moderation effect of organizational cultural type on the relationship of strategic leaders' behavior and IT-Business strategic alignment in manufacturing enterprises of both countries.Fifthly,the study findings also revealed the significant influence of IT-Business strategic alignment on competitive advantages in both countries.Finally,the mediation effect of mutual trust is also found significant in between the relationship of inspirational leadership and teamwork in both country manufacturing sectors.This study added to the literature of strategic IT-business alignment and competitive advantages and also guideline for the manufacturing enterprises of the two neighboring countries to design ideal strategy and achieved strategic objective in global competition by pointing organizational and technological dimensions.
