Research On Thomas J Sargent's Economic Thought

Thomas Sargent,the winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2011,is a representative figure of rational expectations theory and a famous western economist.He has made outstanding contributions to the development of western economic theory and how theory guides practice.At present,most of the research on his economic thoughts in the academic circle focuses on the study of partial theories,but there is still a lack of systematic research on his economic thoughts.Therefore,a systematic study of Thomas Sargent's economic thought has a certain significance.In order to further enrich the academic understanding of Thomas Sargent economic thought,this article to Thomas Sargent's economic thought as the research object,and insist on the dialectical materialism and historical materialism as a guide,using the combination of theory and practice,and the method of historical research,combining with the relevant theory of Thomas Sargent,of Thomas Sargent,rich and full of practice value economic thought system was summarized and carding,multi-level multi-angle to explore Thomas Sargent's economic thought connotation,objective evaluation of the contribution and deficiency of economic thought,On this basis,it puts forward the theoretical value and enlightenment of Thomas Sargent's economic thought to the construction of socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics.This paper is divided into four parts to study the economic thoughts of Thomas Sargent: one is to elaborate the formation and development process of Thomas Sargent's economic thoughts;The second is a more detailed description of Thomas Sargent's rational expectations theory,structural macroeconometric theory,robust control theory and learning theory;The third is to seriously analyze and reflect on the contribution and defect of Thomas Sargent's economic thought;The fourth is to objectively summarize the reference value of Thomas Sargent's economic thoughts to the construction of socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics.This paper holds that the study of Thomas Sargent's economic thought has certain theoretical and practical significance.Though Thomas Sargent's economic theory has some defects,but its economic thoughts has an important theoretical and methodological contribution,objective evaluation system research and Thomas Sargent's economic thoughts help deepen the macro economic operation of the market and the government the understanding of causality,to correctly handle the local problems in the development of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics has certain reference value.This paper points out that in promoting the construction of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics to straighten out the macro economy in the operation of the market and the relationship between the government,the promotion of local economic problem analysis selective econometric tools,in promoting the short-term development of socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics,to perfect the public expectations of statistical investigation,make public information platform,to build economic policy threshold adjustment category,optimize the allocation of resources of market economy;In promoting the long-term development of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics,it is necessary to build a more perfect market economy system,give play to the role of the competent government in macro-control,maintain the smooth operation of the market economy,and cultivate the knowledge and skills of economic subjects.
