| With the rapid development of networked information technology and the continuous progression in the concept of university education in the new age,the study space of traditional university libraries is gradually unable to satisfy the demands of college students. In this networked information age,the study space of university libraries should, while satisfying students’ demands for environment immersivity and quietness, include leisure, peer discussion, exploration, and experiments to better meet their needs. This paper aimed to explore the composition type, the proportion of area, and the average area of seats in the study space of university libraries under the background of the networked information age through scientific and in-depth research to provide some reference significance for the architectural design of university libraries in the future. The research methods of this paper mainly include the literature review method, field survey method, inductive analysis method, quantitative analysis method, and comparative analysis method.Among them, the literature review method includes the query of relevant archives and papers, the search of information on relevant library websites, the analysis of annual reports of relevant libraries, interviews on social platforms, the collection of data on construction media websites at home and abroad, and the sharing of relevant data by overseas students and tourists, while the field survey method includes field observation, field mapping, and user interviews. The research idea of this paper began by proposing problems and studying relevant basic theories and cases before proceeding to analyze and solve the problems. In Chapter 1,that is,the Introduction, problems related to the topic were put forward. In Chapter 2 and 3,relevant basic theories and case studies were discussed, which are research on basic theories and case studies of the study space of university libraries in the networked information age, whose purpose is to lay the foundation for the in-depth research in the following chapters. In Chapter4 and 5,the problems proposed were analyzed, which mainly include research on the composition and the quantification of the study space of university libraries in the networked information age.The research on the quantification of the study space of university libraries in the networked information age can be further divided into the research on the proportion of the area of the study space and the research on the average area of seats in the study space. In Chapter 6,problems proposed and analyzed were solved,in which based on the research in previous chapters, corresponding design strategies were proposed for different study spaces of university libraries in the networked information age.Through researching a number of examples and related theories of the study space of university libraries in the networked information age at home and abroad, this paper comprehensively and systematically summarized the composition types of study space of university libraries in the networked information age from the perspective of learning behaviors for the first time, determined the recommended interval values of the proportion of the area of the study space of university libraries in the networked information age and the average area of seats in the study space, carried out corresponding comparative analysis on the recommended interval values and related norms and standards in China, and finally proposed the design strategy of the study space of university libraries in the networked information age, which has guiding value for the design of the study space of university libraries in the future. |
