Primary school is one of the fastest and most important periods of physical and mental development in a person’s life, with obvious physiological changes that are quite different from adults.Primary school classrooms are places where pupils study for a long time during the rapid growth period. The thermal environment and light environment parameters are unevenly distributed in time and space. In addition, due to the different physiological characteristics and clothing of individual, there are differences of comfort and demand in the rapid growth period pupils. However, there are few domestic and foreign researches on the comfort of primary school students, lack of theoretical and data support. So,it is difficult to reasonably predict the light and thermal sensation and comfort of them based on existing models.Based on the above issues, this article focuses on studying the characteristics of the rapid growth of primary school students’ physiological changes and their impact on the comfort of the light and thermal environment in the classroom of Qingdao.Provide theoretical support for creating a healthy and comfortable classroom environment for primary school students, and help them grow up healthily. The main research contents are as follows.First, the rapid growth period of primary school students’ height, weight,BMI,body surface area, heart rate, forehead temperature, vital capacity and other physilogical indicators are studied.Statistical analysis and k-means clustering analysis methods are used to analyze the law of physiological changes in different age groups.Secondly, through a combination of field measurement and subjective evaluation, investigating the status quo of light environment and thermal environment and light comfort and thermal comfort in primary school classrooms.Combined with the measurement results of physiological parameters,we study the needs of pupils in the fastgrowing period for the light and thermal environment in the classroom. Then, because the metabolic rate of primary school students during the rapid growth period is different from that of adults, the applicability of the PMV model needs further research. This paper compares and analyzes whether the PMV model is suitable for the prediction of the thermal sensation of primary school students through the field measurement and the voting of thermal sensation.Compare several methods for estimating the metabolic rate and find the method that can accurately predict the thermal sensation of primary school students. Finally, the dimensionless function of a single environmental factor is determined, combined with the weight coefficient of the light and thermal environment, and a comprehensive comfort evaluation model is given according to the "punishment backward" synthesis principle, and its rationality is verified. The influence of a single environmental factor on comprehensive comfort is analyzed, and finally the range of comfort zone I and II are given.
