A Phonetic Research On Henan Dialect Islands In Zheniiang Area,Jiangsu Province

The study of the Chinese dialect islands provides typical examples for the connection and combination of descriptive linguistics,historical linguistics and socio-linguistics.Today,most of studies of Chinese dialect islands are about a single dialect island,the dynamic analysis of language changes of the dialect island and the achievements of comparison study of the multiple dialect islands are still less.The paper takes Tianwang,Weigang,Picheng three Henan dialect islands in Zhenjiang area,Jiangsu Province as research objects,to study which by static description and dynamic analysis,diachronic and synchronic comparison.There are 8 chapters in the paper.Chapterl Introduction.Introduces the definition and the research situation of the Chinese dialect islands,the human geography,historical evolution and dialect survey in Zhenjiang area,the forming background,humanities survey,research purposes,methods,material sources,pronunciation partners of Henan dialect islands in Zhenjiang area.Chapter2 The phonetic system of Henan dialect islands in Zhenjiang area.To investigate the phonetic system of the dialects,the source dialect and the peripheral dialects with synchronic description.For comparison,the paper concludes the phonetic system of Henan dialect islands and its peripheral districts in Nanjing area,arranges the relationship among the initials,finals and tones of Henan dialect islands in Tianwang,compares the initials and finals of three Henan dialect islands,the source dialect and the peripheral dialects in Zhenjiang area.Chapter3 The contact and evolution of the initials of Henan dialect islands in Zhenjiang area.To investigate the pronunciation,the types of distribution and mixing of Xiao-fei,Ni-lai,Jing-zhi-zhuang-zhang,Ying-yi,to analyze the historical changes,the contact and evolution of the dialect islands development.According to Yu changes to Ri to discuss the contact and evolution of the initials of Henan dialect islands in of the representative dialect sites,analyzes the origins of lax tone of the source dialect and the dialects of other peripheral districts,the contact and evolution of lax tone and entering tone of dialect islands.The paper regards the tonetic developing reasons of dialect islands include social,geographical,the tonetic influence of source dialect,the graduality of the language evolution.Chapter6 Special study.From the phonetic comparison of Henan dialect islands in Ningzhen area,we get that the phonetic features of Guangshan,Luoshan in Henan are more completely preserved in Henan dialect island of Tianwang in Zhenjiang area and Dongping in Nanjing area,which mainly because of the social level reasons that the Henan dialects in both dialect islands belong to powerful dialects.The bidialect phenomenon of Henan dialect island in Picheng,shows that the bidialect phenomenon is a necessity on the way of the powerful dialect replaces the weak dialect eventually.There are four stages in the bidialectal developing process which includes embryo,development,combination and replacement.The dialect in bidialectal area is influenced by marriage,education and so on.The evolution of the core words of dialect in bidialect area are relatively slow,the first word order of dialect in dialect island influenced by the bidialect phenomenon is smaller than the second word order,the evolution of kinship terms in dialect island is closely related to the development stages of bidialect.Chapter7 The phonetic evolution rules of Henan dialect islands in Zhenjiang area.The paper regarded that the characteristics of the pronunciation evolution of dialect islands not only shows the complexity of phonetic system,the decrease of the phonetic features of source dialect,the similarity to the dialects of peripheral districts and the imbalance of evolvement on a macro-level,but the preservation,transformation and innovation of phonetic value on a micro-level.The rules of inheritance of dialect islands is a distinctive feature and the common contents are strongly inheritable.The rules of contact and evolution mainly present as the features as unboundedness and rank,competition,correspondence,ordered changing.The evolution of dialect islands are limited by contacting time,dialect identity,population proportion and national language policy.Chapter8
