A Quantitative Study On Linguistic Features Of Yinzhannaxi’s Novels

In recent years,the study of Quantitative linguistics has attracted more and more linguists’ attention and has achieved many research results.Recently,Minority language researchers have also applied Quantitative linguistics research methods to language research,and have also made some research achievements.However,the relevant research is not yet in-depth and systematic enough.Yinzhannaxi is a famous Mongols writer in modern China and a great master of Mongols literature in the 19 th century.He greatly promoted the development of Mongolian Chinese culture and cultural relations through his own novel creation.The research on Yinzhannaxi’s novels mainly focuses on literary aspects,with less research conducted from a linguistic perspective.Studying Yinzhannaxi’s novels from the linguistic perspective can better understand the author’s language characteristics and Writing style.This paper uses Quantitative linguistics to study the Language construct attribute of literary style and the relationship between them,so as to reveal the laws of language phenomena.In this context,this paper takes Yinzhannaxi’s novels as the corpus,and uses dependency grammar theory,Quantitative linguistics methods and Complex network analysis methods to study the language features of literary style,which mainly includes parts of speech,sentence length,additional components of verb formation,dependency distance,dependency direction,dependency type,dependency part of speech composition,syntactic functions of parts of speech and Complex network features.This dissertation is composed of five chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the significance,current situation,content,research methods,and steps of this study.Chapter 2 introduces the sources of the corpus used in this study,the creation of the corpus,and the processing of the corpus.In Chapter 3,the grammatical features of the language in Yinzhannaxi’s three novels were studied and analyzed,including the issues of word class,sentence length,additional components of verb construction,dependency distance,dependency direction,dependency type,dependency word class composition,and syntactic function of word class,in order to explore the characteristics and laws of literary language style.In Chapter 4,based on the corpus and dependency tree of Yinzhannaxi’s three novels,three word co-occurrence networks and three dependency syntactic networks were created,respectively.The fifth chapter,based on the language of Yinzhannaxi’s three novels,constructs the word co-occurrence network and dependency syntax network,and studies its basic parameters and Complex network parameters,thus revealing the overall characteristics of literary language.Finally,summarize the entire article and propose the next focus of work.Through the quantitative study of the language features of Yinzhannaxi’s three novels,we can see that the parts of speech,sentence length,additional components of verb formation,dependency distance,dependency direction,dependency type,dependency part of speech composition,syntactic functions of parts of speech,word co-occurrence network and dependency syntactic network all show similar morphological features,syntactic features and Complex network features.This dissertation uses Quantitative linguistics to study the linguistic features of Yinzhannaxi’s novels.The results based on the econometrics provide objective data support for the theoretical conclusions,expand the research field of Quantitative linguistics,and verify the feasibility of syntactic feature analysis in the study of literary style.The use of Quantitative linguistics to study the linguistic features of Mongolian Philology is also conducive to effectively mining and discovering the commonness and individuality of Mongolian language and other languages,and has direct or indirect academic reference value and application value for linguistic research and its application,literary research and Natural language processing.
