The relationship of internal connections between the various components of complex system constitutes the coupling between subsystems. Through the coupling, the energy in one subsystem can flow to the other subsystems. When the coupling between subsystems is the linear coupling, Statistical Energy Analysis can be a good study of the energy flow. The response prediction of the system can then be obtained. It's not easy to get the prediction of system response with nonlinear coupling. In this paper, response prediction of the double-oscillator system under nonlinear coupled system is obtained by using the. Stochastic averaging method. Firstly, the corresponding equations according to the model of the nonlinear system is established. Then the random response is obtained by using the Stochastic averaging method. Compared with the results from Statistical Energy Analysis which ignoring the non-linear effects, as well as with the numerical simulation results, it's shown Stochastic averaging method has a good prospect in getting response prediction of the weakly non-linear coupled vibration system.
