Ning Dong Energy and Chemical Base is rich in coal, oil and natural gas resources, which is a part of national energy base. Ling Wu Daquan is close to the energy base. With the the building of energy base and the rapid development of cities, industry and agriculture, the demand on water resources is increasing. Therefore, to construct water supply field is necessary. According to groundwater chemical characteristics, isotope analysis and groundwater numerical simulation, analysis of the constitute of groundwater and its recharge and discharge relationship is important to the select of water supply field.Through the analysis of existing groundwater chemistry data, the water chemistry characteristics in the study area are as follows: the main type of the phreatic water systems with single-layer structure is HCO3-Ca ? Mg, and then HCO3 ? SO4-Mg ? Ca; in phreatic water together with shallow confined groundwater system, the phreatic water chemistry type is mainly HCO3 ? SO4-Mg and HCO3 ? Cl-Na,while the confined water is HCO3–Na and Cl·SO4-Na; the degree of mineralization phreatic water is generally greater than 1g / L, the confined water is generally less than 1g / L, The variation characteristics of the content of major ions are similar with the degree of mineralization.Groundwater isotope analysis showed that: groundwater in the phreatic water systems with single-layer structure is recharged by the Yellow River; its renewal capacity is better. The phreatic water in multi-strcture area is recharged by the influent seepage of irrigation by the Yellow River and lateral flow from the mesa; its renewal is lower; The natural state of confined water is recharged by the lateral from the Yellow River of precipitation formed in early Holocene; its renewal is lower by the recharge capacity; the pumping layer is recharged by the upper water.Based on the analysis of existing data, the recharge contains precipitation, lateral flow from tableland and flood loss runoff, drain seepage, irrigation; the discharge includes evaporation, gully, lateral outflow of the Yellow River and exploitation. According to hydrogeological conditions and the data available, the multi-layer groundwater numerical simulation model is built by GMS software, the model identified result and water balanced results are basically in accordance with the actual hydrogeological conditions. Select Daquan and Xinhuaqiao as simulation exploitation area, the first confined aquifer as simulation exploitation layer. According to the simulation results, the increased extraction quantity is mainly from the reduced evaporation and reduced gully discharge; in Xinhua qiao Area, pumping will promote recharge from the Yellow River.
