| Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) theory is a correct theory of the strong interaction. In the framework of QCD, besides the conventional mesons and baryons, the new hadron states such as glueballs, hybrid states, multi-quark states etc. exist.Knowledge of the strong decay properties of hadrons is crucial to fully understand the natures of the resonances observed experimentally. Several dynamic models describing the strong decays of hadrons widely adopted in literature such as the 3P0 model, flux-tube breaking model, and the constituent quark-gluon model are reviewed. The strong decay properties ofη2(1870) are investigated in the framework of the 3P0 decay model and the flux-tube breaking model, respectively. It is found that the mass, production, total width, and strong decay pattern of theη2 (1870) do not appear to contradict with the picture of it being the conventional 21 D2 qq state. The possibility of theη2(1870) being a mixture of the conventional meson and the hybrid is also discussed. |
