The subject comes from social science funding project in Hubei Province—Research on Hubei ancient town morphology and its cultural characteristics(2007038).Make research on climate and Shop House in Mid-Changjiang River area.This paper first based on Mid-Changjiang River area, from the particularity of the regional climate with Shophouse relations were discussed. Aimed at Mid-Changjiang River area in the hot summer and cold winter climate and we discussed that from the ventilation, lighting, heat preservation, sunshade of Shophouse space and emphatically introduces the climate change characteristic and hot summer and cold winter climate characteristic. Using the method of typology, from function combination, plane form, facade form, terrain environment etc were classified across house form and revealed the implied ecological construction experience.Shophouse space generation contains a lot of ecological strategy. Aimed at Mid-Changjiang River area in the hot summer and cold winter climate feature,we discussed the ecological strategy of it affected by climate From four aspects. First, From "building ventilation" and "environmental ventilation" principle, we discussed the use of natural wind. It Emphasized "ventilation" and " shelter" two shelters and summed up the facilities and ventilation method of the Shophouse. According to the small face width and big depth, it puts forward the using characteristics and rules of natural light. Through the space organization, passive space designing and using of characteristic component which can reach Shophouse natural light using demand. One especially emphasized Tiandou, Liangdou and Liangwa's day lighting characteristics. Again, from the maintenance structure perspective, this paper discussed the heat preservation and heat insulation strategy. Finally, according to the Mid-Changjiang River area hot summer climate it points out the importance of Shophouse shading.Under the influence of climate, Shophouse shows the changing of space form. quoting the concept of building interface,from external surface and climate filtering, the space division within interface, the climate transitional of middle interface three parts to show different types of Shophouse space forms and structures in the form of ecological characteristic. Drain the pattern language point of view, the climate designning technique also summarized, especially emphasized "person" to the space influence, because "people" action makes Shophouse space design more flexible and effective climate. Street house of the ecological building experience is the same to green building, having actual maneuverability and openness. these experiences will apply modern villages and small towns construction and urban design in a very important significance. Finally, the paper points out the modern architecture about climate change and hopes people disregard for life mode. Discussing the problems of the relationship between architectural form to reach the harmony of man and nature.
