Recent years, the exploration of mineral resources in the north of North China Block has got great breakthrough, and many small and medium-size metallic deposits and non-metallic deposits have been found. The Haojiayingzi mine area of Zhengxiangbai Banner is located in the south of North China Block. However no valuable deposit has been found yet due to the poor geological work.On the basis of field geological survey and analyses of rock ore samples, by the applying of multidisciplinary theory, including mineralogy, lithology, structural geology, ore deposits, geochemistry, metallogenic prospecting and exploration geology, this thesis has analyzed the relationships between metallogenesis and the strata, tectonic and magmatite. Meanwhile, this paper concentrated on the study of the characteristics of Early Yanshan granites in the Haojiayingzi mining area. By systematically collecting and analysis of geological data, this study appraised the metallogenic prospects and prognosticated the prospecting targets. The characteristics of lithology, rock major elements, trace elements and rare-earth elements show that Early Yanshan granites in the Haojiaziying mine area, have following characters:The petrographic category of Early Yanshan granites belongs to Calcium granite by high-silicon and low-aluminum, and the compositions are more complex. The differentiation and evolution of Early Yanshan granites are sufficient and the Early Yanshan granites are possibly the metallogenic mother rocks. The granite is "S"-type granite and formed post orogenic period. The source of the granite is probably upper crust. The grantie belongs to remelting type and remelting magma which is mixing with the upper crust material. The contents of the metallogenic elements inside the granite are much higher than the Vickers values, which indicates that the area is favorable for ore-forming.On the basis of the study on the geological background, forming condition, ore-controlling factors and mineralized markings, four prospecting targets have been prognosticated which have excellent conditions for ore-forming, and propects of finding deposits exploration prospects.
