Rock weathering will lead to the changes for the internal structure,mineral composition and chemical components etc. Such changes will cause great harm for all sorts of engineering construction. And research the rock weathering degree classification played a key role to select the engineering construction base surface and to determine the construction scheme, that also has an important significance to evaluation the stability of surrounding rock and slope engineering.So rock weathering is often as an important topic for research.In the past, rock weathering degree classification easy to cause the inaccurate, because many judgments qualitative description is given priority. And then, when introduces more rock testing indexes, the rock weathering degree of judgment entered the quantitative period. Accuracy have certain enhancement, but still can't meet the need of project. Last, people will be qualitative and quantitative method were used to make union, greatly improved the accuracy of rock weathering degree judgment. Therefore, the paper chose the widely used 3D laser scanner and infrared thermography to study the degree of rock weathering, to resolve the issues.The preparatory work is done in Korea, including the selection of rock samples to learn two instruments and associated software to use operation, access to the physical and mechanical properties of rock samples, laboratory tests and data processing. Writing the thesis is done after returning.In the thesis, it is detailedly descript rock weathering, the types of products and the influence factors, and summarized commonly used rock weathering degree classification standards in recent years. Then the paper by use of 3D laser scanner and infrared thermography technique characteristics and working principle are introduced, showed that these two kinds of instruments in rock weathering degree judge the feasibility of application. The thesis chooses the granite and gneiss, sandstone these three representative rock types, a total of 90 rock (each rock selection 30 samples) as the test samples. And it made of these rock samples, sonic re-measuring speed, rock strength measurement,3D laser scanner and infrared thermography to such experiment, and measured data results were screening, processing and analysis. Finally, using the intensity of rock samples value (rebound hammer and equotip) and laser reflection value, gray value (3D laser scanner) and temperature (infrared thermography) do, got certain relation analysis of linear relationship of scale. Through the relationship of scale and rock weathering features is given based on laser reflex, gray and temperature difference as standard, judge rock weathering degree of numerical interval. Although,3D laser scanner and infrared thermography are first applied in rock weathering degree measurement, there's not much reference material, given the discriminant standards also remain to be improved. But the two instruments using provides certain theoretical basis and practical meaning, in engineering geology.
