Nowadays, Detection technology has become one of the key technologies of a variety of disciplines, plays a vital role in the development of production and scientific progress. Although kinds of research has been studied on detection technology, for example, the Multi-senor data fusion and detection data correction processing and so on, which have been improving the detection technology and detection accuracy. Up to the present, howerver, the information detection is based on the detectable status of information, and the detectability of information directly depends on senor and the environment condition. Because of the absence of a corresponding sensor or that the sensor is unavailable in certain circumstances, the information becomes undetectable-this is a contradiction.Extenics is a subject of studying contradiction, and is based on the extension of matter. Primitive theory gives the formal description of matter. Established a mathematical tool to solve the contradictions-extension set, prepared the ground for the quantification of the process of solving contradiction and making good use of computer to solve the contradictions. The extension detecting based on extenic theory solves problem that the detection of matter is unavailable or impossible, by using the transformation methods of contradictions and artificial intelligence theory and method. There has been rapid development in extension detecting by many scholars'study, and will be improved with the development of the ethnic theory and detecting technology.The thesis's main conclusion and main research are as fellows:(1) Research on mathematical model and extension theory. Then, based on analysis of the relation between detectable matter and undetectable matter, and analysis the weak of common mathematical model to describe the relation. Based on the extension theory and graph theory, proposed the relation model.(2) Research on non-monotonic reasoning, including Default Theories, Circumscription and Truth Maintenance System(TMS), applying them to the reasoning process, present the extension non-monotonic inference mechanisms.(3) Defined three assessment indicators:contribution degree, detection degree, detection cost, and design the evaluation method of the relation model. According to fuzzy theory, presented evaluation rules of the model. (4) Finally, model application.
