East Kunlun mountains are an important parts of Tibet plateau and one of the important metallogenic belts in China. Recently, Wulonggou gold deposits is becoming the important ore in Qinghai. Geologists have done lots of work on Wulonggou gold deposits. But studies on metallogenic epoch and controlling-ore structures are weak, the level of study is also lower because of traffic and climate conditions.Wulonggou gold deposits is located in East Kunlun mountain. The strata and magmatic rock are complicared and various. There are lots of ductile shear zones and faults which controlled gold bodies. We choose shenshuitan ore block in Wulonggou gold deposits as the main research object. Controlling-ore structures and metallogenic epoch is the main research contents. After survey in the field and sorting data, we conclude as follows.1. We made zircon U-Pb dating for plutons from different levels of shenghsuitan ore block in Wulongogou gold deposits. It is suggested that the intrude time of danshuigou pluton should be in the early Devonian; shenshuitan pluton, huanglonggou pluton and hongqigou pluton should be in the Late Silurian.2. There are lots of mineralizations in Wulonggou gold deposits. The main metallogenic epoch is Triassic.3. Ductile shear zones have two deformation activities-Late Caledonian and Indosinian. Faults have two deformation activities-Indosinian and Jurassic.4. Ductile shear zones deformated in Wulonggou gold deposits in Late Caledonian. NWW to NW of ductile shear zone and brittle fracture formed in Indosinian and they controlled the forming of gold body. They are the important ore-control structures. Jurassic, brittle fracture are actived and reconstruction the previous forming ore body.5. On the basis of regional analysis, we concluded that the result about the formation of Wulonggou gold deposits is ocean basin closed in the middle and south Kunlun fault belt and orogenies of Kunlun Mountain.
