This paper researched on the seed rains and seedling growth of Cyclobalanopsis gilva. The seed rains of Cyclobalanopsis gilva were collected in 3 different habitats, and the seedling growth data were collected in seedling nursery and some different wild habitats in Jian'ou county, Fujian province. The research results were as follows:(1)The seed rain of Cyclobalanopsis gilva lasted from the midmonth of October to the latter part of November, 34 days.(2)The seed rain density(82.6 ind/m2) and intensity(2.43 ind/m2·d) in the forest edge of Cyclobalanopsis gilva were the largest, and the percentage of health seed in the mixed forest was the lagestest(47.2%).(3) The time process rule of seed dropping was not a normal distribution pattern. The dropping seed number was the largest in the initial stage and changed gently in the latter and ending stages.(4)The seeds dropped with a large clustering degree in the initial stage. The total clustering intensity of the mixed forest was far less than that of other kinds of habitats.(5)Cyclobalanopsis gilva seed germination overall present a slow - fast - slowly - slowing germination unearthed curve. Seedbed seed germination rate on obviously higher than excavated field five different habitats.(6)Based on the seedling growth data, Logistic growth curve were established to find out the growth rhythm. The growth curve of Cyclobalanopsis gilva were like S shape. Cyclobalanopsis gilva had a strong adaptability , and grew well in forest margin near summit of the mountain.Cyclobalanopsis gilva was a rare species. The Cyclobalanopsis gilva community was rare because of human interference. The research results would provide some reference and technical guidance for the research of population generation and resource utilization.
