Finite difference time domain (FDTD) because of its simple mathematical calculation of the good performance of computational electromagnetic in many ways unique, get people's attention and a wide range of applications. When treating complex geometric surface, the technology of conformal into FDTD(CFDTD) can improve the computational accuracy effectively with its unique advantages.This papers works on these issues:(1)Introduction, research of CFDTD mesh technology and how to deal with conformal tiny grid. (2) Establishing a standard modeling procedure, three-dimensional surface model of multi-modeling analysis (including a sphere, ellipsoid, rotating parabolic body, etc.), extracting the corresponding conformal mesh parameterization. (3) Deriving two-dimensional and three-dimensional perfectly conducting and media CFDTD iterative relationship, according to the formulation completing the program of the CFDTD method and calculating a variety of model radar cross section(RCS). (4)Besides simple model, the papers establish the "Sparrow" missile complex target. Analyzing this missile's RCS of Gaussian pulse and sine responses based on CFDTD. The results indicate that the CFDTD technology of this paper could be used in scattering of curved surface. (5) In the researching under the premise of the general surface, CFDTD techniques used to study microwave-absorbing properties of the coating. That is coated on the surface with the absorbing material. Calculating the RCS of missile after coating based on media conformal method. The results show this effectively reduce the missile's RCS, which used paper verified the correctness and practicality CFDTD technology. And also for the conductor of the scattering properties of coating materials, technologies provide efficient methods of calculation.The main content of this article includes:Chapter 1: Briefly introducing the background, characteristics, application areas of FDTD method and conformal FDTD(CFDTD), indicating the significance of this work;Chapter 2: FDTD algorithm and introducing the basic principles of CFDTD algorithm and the three main factors: difference scheme, the stability of solution conditions, absorbing boundary conditions;Chapter 3: Presentations and the introduction of the conductor PEC and media conformal technique;Chapter 4: According to the PEC and the media conformal techniques, described the details of conformal mesh generation method, modeling rules and a variety of modeling results and the final RCS calculation;Chapter 5: Focuses on the conductor surface coating media, technology, and conformal FDTD method of handling this;Chapter 6: Conclusions, including this summary of the work and the right vision for the latter part of the work.
