As the exploration of oil and gas carried out in a deep-going way in foreign and domestic, the trend of the exploration have put forward more rigorous request. As the association between the well logging and the seismic, on the one hand the acoustic logging has gradually breakthrough the limit of its detection zone, on the other hand the acoustic logging has the high resolution which the seismic can't possess. The appearance of acoustic reflection logging has wonderfully resolved the two aspects of problems, because it not only keeps the high resolution, but also increases the detection zone by an order of magnitude. The emergence of acoustic reflection logging making the principle and the method of data processing and explanation which are maturely used before no longer meet the requirement , what makes us to restudy the theory and method suitable for acoustic reflection logging.At present, a lot of research for acoustic reflection logging having been done and some achievements having been acquired, athough there are many people trying to figure out the method for acoustic reflection logging data processing , the software, really suitable for logging industry in understanding and using, hasn't completely formed and there are still many probloms existing. Especially the software existing for acoustic reflection data processing emphasize on the accordance with the processing flow of seismic data, causing the operators can only operate it step-by-step without understanding the principle.Based on previous studies, this paper starts from the acoustic theory in borehole filled liquid and the principle of the acoustic reflection logging, lucubrates the processing method suitable for acoustic reflection logging data, and tries to form a processing software convenient for understanding and using by insiders engage in well logging. The main contents include five aspects following:First, based on the sonic theory of the isotropic porous media, the theory of sound field is derived on the columnar medium model taking the borehole filled liquid as shaft, used as the analytic basis.Second, from the instrument structure and technical indicator, we understand the logging principle more deeply, analyse the influence of the source spacing, the frequency and the dip of reflecting interface to the acoustic reflection logging, obtain the time-distance relation by geometric acoustics theory.Third, the method of reprocessing, p-wave velocity calculation,reflected p-wave extraction, wave field separation, nmo correction and offset has been studied in connection with acoustic reflection logging.Fourth, a set of software used to process the acoustic reflection logging data is compiled, verified by the actual data,and the processing result has been analyzed.Fifth, the examples of the application of coustic reflection logging are given.
