Complex fault systems are formed in Gaoyou sag after many structural movements, since late Crataceous. The development of Hanliu fault zone is influenced by Gaoyou sag evolution and the boundary fault control. The complex fracture system faults have many structural features: changeable strike, polyphase activity, different section formed in different geologic time and different fracture combination. It is of high value to clarify the feature and evolution process of fracture belt. according to the comprehensive information of geology, seismic interpretation and well log data, with the basis of structural geometry, kinematics and dynamics analysis, the paper discuss the geometrical characteristic, activity characteristic, revolution history and dynamic mechanism of Hanliu fault zone.Seismic data interpretation show that the profile structure of Hanliu fault is different along strike,and ,has layered structure characteristics in section. According to the different cutting horizon, faults can be divided into four types: cut though all Cenozoic strata, cut through deep strata, cut through shallow strata, hanging type. Through analysis of structural, the study shows that the NE,NEE and EW are the main trend direction of fault zone. On the plane, fault has grid shape and pinnate combination. On the profile, fault has ladder like and Y like combination. The main fault of Hanliu has a succession of development to the fault boundary. The characteristics of the regional lines of development. Through using the methods of balanced cross section of the structural evolution, activity rate of the Hanliu fault, paleo fall of fault, we find that The Hanliu fault has development models of eastern and western chain, and active centers transfer to east. In the study area, faults have the characteristics of segmentation and stages. Based on previous research, through analyzing the geometrical and kinetic features of Hanliu fault, we think the origin mechanism of Hanliu flaut: the earliest formation zone of Hanliu fault is located in hanging wall of Zhen-2 flaut ,where is the largest segment of Stretching. Those faults are formed to adjustment gravity imbalance and form reverse compensation fault; In Yong-an ,Brush structural stape of Hanliu fault zone and counterclockwise rotating of the main fault affect right strike-slip movement; the E-W fault affected by N-S extension. According to the times of faults and matching relationship, the faults are divided into three priority in the study area.
