At present, wave field numerical simulation is used frequently in many field, it is an important method on seismic wave propagation and dynamic characteristics. As the quality of seismic wave forward modeling will directly influence the effect of simulation, the article chooses staggered-grid higher order finite difference technology to get a good simulation result.In the process of simulation, I have considered various problems, include the free boundary condition of surface wave, artificially boundary conditions which is used to absorb the reflection that does not expected, stability condition and frequency dispersion problems, and so on. These are all necessary to the simulation, so I have discussed these problems one by one.In half-space homogeneous media and stratified media, I have studied wave profiles and wave field snapshot in different orders, and compared them with each other. This paper applies the finite difference method with stagger grids to simulate full wavefield, include both Rayleigh wave and body wave, meanwhile, a PML absorbtion boundary which makes the dispisal of boundary condition more simple and effective is presented, then I can derive the record that closer to actual model. The Rayleigh wave is excited by the explosion of a point source, which is widely used in the seismic exploration, and I also discussed the influence of the depth to the energy of surface wave.Along with the thorough study, two-dimension numerical simulation can not satisfy with incresaingly complex situation, so in this article, three-dimension numerical simulation means have been given, at the same time, the stability and boundary condition that required in program process are also discussed, and this sets a good stage for the next step.In addition, surface wave is usually regarded as noise, so I summarize several methods to eliminite it, and test it with real data and model data.
