The seimic geophysics technology is more sophisticated, the data with more high resolution are needed,so the key lies in the S/N and the resolution of the profile. We pay more attention to the dynamic information especially the phase. The phase correction technique could elimate the phase difference of the records and could improve the quality of the profile to help the interpretation.. During the seismic data processing the dedonvolution is taken to raise the resolution, after that we stack the data to improve the S/N ratio. The elements to reflect the stack profile are time, amplitude and phase difference. The time difference is calculated using the correlation of the records which assume they are in-phase. Also the power is weakened while the records are out-phase thogh the amplitude is true. The phase correction technique could remove the wavelet effection to change the seimic data into or near the zero phase and elimate the residual phase to improve the qualityof the stack profile. We obtain the conclusion that phase correction will be the hot spot after we summarize the research status and analyze the elements resulting in the pahse distortio, the basic theory and the development outlook. The paper give a summary of the present research and the effect factors. We write the programming of the window-overlapping phase correction and the local phase correction which is calculated by inversion and take the similarity between the envelope and the record as the creterion. The phase angle calculated by the approach is more accurate after the process of the model data and the practical records. The final profile show that there are the improvement of S/N,continuation of the events and phase angle's elinination.Local phase can be used as a characteristic to forecast the reservior.
