In recent decades, with the prospect of the traditional petroleum industry downturn, growing economic"appetite"for oil, and the international energy situation's becoming grim, more and more petroleum industry companies in China start to'focus its development on low-permeability reservoir resources. In fact, China is very rich in low-permeability reservoirs. By the year 2010, crude oil reserves accounts half of proved reserves in low-permeability reservoirs, and the natural gas reserves in low-permeability in proven reserves accounts for 70% around the nation. Thus, develop petroleum and gas in low-permeability reservoir has a promising prospect. After all, how to develop low-permeability reservoirs in an effectively and rationally way is of great importance on petroleum industry, national energy supply, and the Nation's economy and security. In fact, the difficulty in developing low-permeability reservoirs is known by the industry. There is a number of serious difficulties in developing low-permeability reservoirs, such as: liquid suffers more resistance in penetrating porous medium, resistance cannot be described by Darcy's law, natural driving energy is generally insufficient, poor reservoir rock's properties, low production with a significant faster decreasing rate than normal reservoir, penetrate mechanics is much more complex in rocks which has a strong pressure sensitivity. In order to solve the difficulties in developing low-permeability reservoirs, this paper made the following works:?Combine the results of current research in characteristics and physical properties of low permeability reservoir rock and fluid, discussed how various factors impact Non-Darcy Flow and established a Non-Darcy Flow Model, derived the vertical and horizontal well productivity prediction equation, compared with field production data, the equation can meet the engineering calculation, analysed how the different factors impact on productivity, formed a production optimization method at the base of AHP method and develop them into a software.
