With the increasing difficulty on oil and gas exploration, it is important to build quantitative 3D reservoir model. .Integration of different scales and resolution data such as geological, logging and seismic data into the model has become the mainstream approach . Now,Geostatistics has been widely used. as the reservoir modeling methods Basedon well data, Geostatistics treat the well data as hard data for estimate interwell properties. However, when less well data available, especially high quality seismic data available in offshore, the modeling approach could be different such as for fluvial reservoir offshore. Under this condition, geostatiscal model will yield high uncertainty. In order to characterize the reservoir better in this case, seismic-driven method has been introduced and developed. This method is based on seismic data, but uses well data as conditions and the geological information as a guide to model the reservoir properties. In this thesis, an offshore field data for a fluvial reservoir are used for the study. seismic-driven modeling and geostatistic modeling are applied to the reservoir. The results are compared, Using rock model calibrated with the field data, both models are forward modeled to generate synthetic seismic to compare with the observed. It is approved that seismic-driven modeling result could generate a better seismic response which is consistent with observed seismic.
