Electromagnetic environment of submarine is an important condition. It is related with normal operation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the safety of ordnance and humans. It is necessary to master the data of electromagnetic environment of submarine in overall design of EMC of submarine. With the development of the high-performance computers and computational electromagnetics, the simulation using softwares has become an important means to acquire the data of electromagnetic environment of submarine.In the process of simulation of electromagnetic environment of submarine, modeling and parameters setting influence the simulation results greatly, and these problems have some complexity, so it need to research the application of softwares, that is the solution of the key points in softwares use.Based on FEKO, the thesis reserches the simulation method of shortwave electromagnetic environment of submarine, solve the modeling and parameters setting such as solution method and meshing, and provides a simulation method of shortwave electromagnetic environment of submarine. It prove that the method is effective through comparing the measured data with simulation results.The thesis elaborates the domestic and overseas research at present on simulation of electromagnetic environment firstly, introduces Maxwell equations and the fundamental of Method of Moment and Multilevel Fast Multipole Method, and discusses whether FEKO is applicable to solve the problem of simulation of shortwave electromagnetic environment of submarine. Then author summarize the rules of electromagnetic field in some national military standards, and analyse the requirements on data of shortwave electromagnetic environment roundly.The thesis provides a simulation method of the shortwave electromagnetic environment of submarine, and the simulation results can support the overall design of EMC of submarine. Consequently the engineers could find out the potential EMC problems, then guarantee normal operation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the safety of ordnance and humans by adjusting the design plan or adopting the appropriate control measures. This has practical significance.
