Research for the stability of laser polarizersSpecialty: Atomic and Molecular Physics Postgraduate: Zhao Yuanan Advisor: Yang XiangdongWith the development of optical film techniques, optical film widgets have been used widely, so researches for the stability of optical film widget is become more and more important. In order to work out the problem existed in the high power laser system, this research project established. We studied the problem from characteristics of the deposition material, design of the film to deposition techniques.We analyzed the factors and mechanism affected the stability of the laser polarizers, and planed out the methods to improve its stability. The effect of electric field in the polarizer in the research of laser induced damage was analyzed, and on the basis of it, low losses laser polarizer was designed. Based on the analyses, temperature distribution of optical film layers irradiated by the laser pulse was calculated with the Alternating Direction-Implicit Technique. From the results, we adjusted the technique parameters. The experiment proved the adjustments is effective. According to the fact that the structure of the film causes the wavelength shift, we prepared the shift-free polarizers at 1054nrn with Plasma-IAD. A set of threshold measuring system was founded, and the threshold of some laser polarizers were measured.
