This dissertation is about one-year's study of Fuzhou's inner river in community ecology of zooplankton, which evaluated the water quality of this river through the analysis of the structure variation of its zooplankton community and combining with the physical and chemical indexes, then may give some suggestions to the rational and efficacious measures of Fuzhou's inner river management. From September 2000 to August 2001, we collected the zooplanktons qualitatively and quantitatively at 12 sampling sites in the river and measured 3 physical indexes (temperature, pH and electric conductivity) and 5 chemical indexes (NH3-N, TP, TN, CODMnand DO).Through identifing the zooplanktons' category, the common and the dominant species were ascertained. The annul change of the amount, the biomass of the zooplankton community and the effects of temperature, pH on the amount of the zooplankton community were studied. The physico-chemical indexes were measured and the environmental qualitative compositive index(PI) and the chemical evaluational index(Pb/n) were calculated to evaluate the water quality of this inner river. And then the biological indicator methods, three diversity indexes(Simpson, Shannon-Weaner, Margalef )and the Species Pollution Value (SPY), the Community Pollution Value (CPV) were used to make the biological evaluation separately. Last, combining the three diversity indexes and the five chemical indexes,the major constitution component analysis and the clustering analysis were applied to make the evaluation of the water quality. At the same time, the nutrition type and the black and foetid rate were evaluated.Comprizing all kinds of evaluation methods, the major water quality in Fuzhou's inner river is defined to between the a and P type of medium pollution and some parts of it are seriously contaminated. The Fuzhou's inner river belongs to the rich nutrition type .The water quality changes little comparing with the investigating results ten years ago but the black and foetid rate has been improved . Eventually, we analyzed the polluting factor of the inner water and provided some useful suggestions for the management.
