This experiment was designed to study the effects of RE on the feed intake, digestion, feather and spirit of the mice , to research the dynamic rules of the RE' s assimilation, distribution, elimination , and to study the security of RE , so as to offer some theoretical basis for livestock and poultry.128 forty-day-old male mice, divided into eight groups with four replicates per group, were fed RE nitrate diet with the dosage of 0, 50, 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1600mg/kg. It was revealed that the apparent assimilated amount was the lowest in the 50mg/kg group, which was only 6. 4328u? Diversely, the amount was the highest in the 400mg/kg group, having the significant difference with others (P<0.01) .The apparent digestable rate was higher in the 50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg groups, respectively 1.81% and 1.91%. The lowest one was in the 1600mg/kg group, only 0.16%. At the same time .there was significant difference in each group (P<0.01). The feed intake had no significant difference (P>0. 05) in the first five groups, however the latter three groups had significant difference with the former five groups (0. 01
